Warwick Castle: The finest medieval castle in England

Opening Ceremony - Sunday 3rd September

The opening ceremony took place in the International Convention Centre in Hall 1 from 1630 - 1730 hrs. Welcome addresses were given by the ICNP President, the Congress President and the Mayor of Birmingham. Participants were then entertained by a splendid musical entertainment.

Welcome Reception - Sunday 3rd September

A welcome reception was hosted in the International Convention Centre in Hall 3 from 1730 - 1900 hrs. Wine, soft drinks and sandwiches were served.

Congress Banquet - Tuesday 5th September

The Congress Banquet took place on Tuesday, 5 September at the Birmingham Museum and Council House. A Champagne reception commenced at 1930 hrs at the Birmingham Museum with dinner starting at 2015 hrs.

Tour Programme

The central location of Birmingham enabled the Social and Tour Programmes to embrace some of the finest villages and castles in the UK. The congress offered several tours for those attending the meeting:

Birmingham is also surrounded by beautiful counrtyside, notably the picturesque areas of the Cotswolds and Malvern Hills.

As it is located in central England, Birmingham is also ideally placed as a base for more widespread travel within the UK.
