You can Download a Map of the College from the website...The Symposium will focus on practical aspects of muscle disease with particular emphasis on muscle membrane protein immunohistochemistry.
Key speakers will include Drs Louise VB. Anderson & Kate Bushby of Newcastle University, UK together with Drs Francesco Muntoni and Caroline Sewry of the Hammersmith Hospital Neuromuscular Centre, London. Dr Valerie Askanas and Dr WK Engel Neuromuscular Center, Department of Neurology, University of Southern California School of Medicine will also speak to the Symposium. Dr. Engel will deliver the Third Annual Schering Neuroscience Lecture on the evening of Friday September 8th prior to dinner.
We are also planning to have discussion of problem cases, which will give delegates an opportunity to present cases to the experts. The format will depend on the number of cases but will probably involve a brief 7-minute platform presentation followed by discussion for 8 minutes.
The Symposium is times to facilitate travel to Dublin from Birmingham on Thursday September 7th, following conclusion of Neuro 2000 International Congress of Neuropathology.
Trinity College is Ireland's oldest university and is located in the heart of downtown Dublin with an easy access of all museums, art galleries etc. Delegates are assured of warm welcome to Dublin.
Accommodation (limited and on a first booking basis) is available in Trinity College Dublin Adjacent to the Symposium Venue for the nights of September 7th & 8th. The closing date for receipt of accommodation bookings is January 30th. A small registration fee will be levied to cover the cost of the visiting speakers and will not exceed £70. A dinner will be held on the evening of Friday September 8th in Trinity College, Dublin (cost included in registration fee).
Located mainly in the more historic area of the campus. Single study bedrooms or double apartments containing two single bedrooms and a lounge. The rooms share toilet and shower facilities and all rooms have access to a kitchen suitable for light catering only.
Superior Accomodation Within Apartments (Type B)
Located on or adjacent to the main campus. Modern single and double-bedded rooms within purpose built apartments. The apartments generally consist of four bedrooms, two showers and toilets and a kitchen / living room. All bedrooms have individual locks. Rooms may be reserved individually or for small parties.
En-Suite Accomodaton (Type C)
Single and twin en-suite study bedrooms each with a private shower and toilet.

Booking confirmations with deposit will have to be made by January 30th 2000. I do not have definite room prices yet but do not envisage that the cost will exceed £45.00 IRL (e57.14) per night per person.
